WELCOME TO THE

Blue Comet Motorcycle Club

Who Are the Blue Comets?

The Blue Comet Motorcycle Club is a family oriented group of avid motorcyclists and enthusiasts. We are one of the oldest continuously operated AMA sanctioned motorcycle clubs in the country, located on the outskirts of historic Skippack Village, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Our membership includes (but is not limited to) motorcycle owners, (men and women), passengers, and supporters. All bike models are welcome.

Our clubhouse, outdoor pavilion, and out buildings sit on 18 acres of well maintained property, part of which is dedicated to dirt trails used for AMA sanctioned Hare Scramble dirt bike races. Our clubhouse and pavilion are available for rental for special occasions and functions.

The club does amazing things for it’s members and the community, such as hosting the Gold Star Mothers fundraiser and organizing Lansdale Bike Night, the largest bike night on the east coast! We also host District 6 Hare Scramble races, an annual Blood Drive, the A.B.A.T.E. Swap Meet, a car show, and various other events and fundraisers open to the public, aside from our private club functions.

We take great pride in our Club, the members and friendships within, our history, and events and activities. We are always looking for new members who will be an asset to our club! If you are interested in becoming a Blue Comet member, please visit our Membership Info link for more information. Please feel free to explore our site – and if you have any questions, visit the Contact & Location section and send us an email!

Blue Comet Motorcycle Club History

The Blue Comet Motorcycle Club was organized in 1913 under the name of BLACK CATS with an original membership of 13. The Black Cast originated from the history for the bar they frequented in Point Pleasant, PA. Today the Black Cats bar still stands and is known as “Apple Jacks”.

In 1937 the club changed the name to the Blue Comet Motorcycle Club, still keeping with the call letters of BCMC. The members chose this name from the Blue Comet train that they came across in many of their travels. The club was formed by a group of people that wanted to promote a positive image of motorcyclists, to take part in events, travel as a group, and eventually be involved in motorcycle racing.
